Players logging in will be met with a message informing them that the game no longer accepts in-app purchases and has been removed from mobile stores. In-game currency will be usable until April 2024, at which point the game will become inaccessible.

In a statement to TMZ, Kim stated that she realized that “it’s time to focus that energy into other passions” though she does give thanks to “the Glu team and the many people behind the scenes who have worked diligently on making it a success.”

Glu has plenty to be grateful for too, as in Q3 2014, the game generated 54% of its revenue, according to Games Industry. As Forbes reports, by 2016, the mobile title had been downloaded 45 million times and generated $160 million in revenue.

Although highly successful, it doesn’t leave the mobile gaming industry with a dearth of titles. Plenty of companies have recognized the profit potential and want a slice of it, including Xbox.
