Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is an unforgettable multiplayer experience in which one person is given a bomb and all other players have to help communicate how to disarm the device without ever seeing it. The defuser describes the modules they see, and the helpers race to work off of a rule book and relay exact step-by-step instructions. Most of the puzzle solving is simple in theory, but the ever-ticking countdown puts a lot of pressure on everyone and ratchets up the tension.

It’s one of the best virtual reality games out there, and soon you won’t need a headset to play on consoles. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is getting a non-VR version on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this summer. The Switch port, in particular, should be wonderful.

The bombs start out super basic, so even if you aren’t playing with a well-spoken group, you can succeed. Keep Talking works in a party setting. If you want to master it, though, you need cohesion.

I never get tired of seeing this video.
