Judero developer Talha and Jack Co. has announced its next game with a brief teaser trailer. Mashina will continue the crafted stop-motion aesthetic, adopting a more sci-fi theme. A Kickstarter to fund it will launch sometime in January.
If youāre not familiar, Judero is a bizarre stop-motion game maybe about Scotland, but also not entirely? You play as a dude trying to climb the glass mountain because the game world compels him to do so. Itās hard to describe. I donāt fully get it myself, but the vibes are immaculate. Iāve got a full review of it over here if youāre interested.
Information on Mashina is pretty sparse. It seems to be named after how people commonly mispronounce āMachinaā (itās mahk-ee-na rather than mash-ee-na), and it seems to star a rotund little robot. The teaser trailer provides us with shockingly little information. The Kickstarter and YouTube description simply say, āA little robot digs to repair her world. Dig, build, discover and mend in a chill, stop-motion world.ā Thatās all the information in its entirety.
Iām sure more details will be given out when the Kickstarter launches. Juderoās Kickstarter had plenty of information, and, looking back, had a lot of stuff already complete and ready to go. But I think you already have an idea of what youād be getting from Talha and Jack Co. I wouldnāt need to see a design document, just completely unmoored creativity.
Mashina doesnāt currently have an announced release date. The Kickstarter for funding it is launching sometime in January.
