I’m sure Sony is trying to push as many PSP systems out the door as they can before the PS Vita lands. These new PSP value packs may help them out a bit in Japan.

On July 28th Japanese retailers will start selling these 17,800 yen ($220) value packs in Piano Black, Vibrant Blue and Blossom Pink. They come with the system, charger, battery, cleaning cloth, case, and a 2GB Memory Stick Duo Mark II.

Andriasang says that Sony made note of some upcoming summer releases for the PSP in the same release. The most notable are Taiko Drum Master Portable DX (7/14), Sengoku Basara Chronicle Heroes (7/21), and Monster Hunter Diary Poka Poka Felyne Village G (8/10). Hopefully those are downloadable so that I may play them on my PS Vita.
