It’s not too late to put Teslagrad on your radar

After coming out of seemingly nowhere to impress us back in May, Rain Games’ exploratory puzzle-platformer Teslagrad is nearing its launch on PC, which happens December 13, 2013. The game is hitting Steam, GOG.com, and other digital platforms for $9.99/€8.99/£6.99 and will also see a release on PlayStation 3 and Wii U next year.

There’s a lot to love here, with hand-drawn art, boss fights, and a non-existent graphical user interface. As the last of the Teslamancers, you’ll explore the Tesla Tower by solving puzzles that revolve around magnetism. A few of the powers are shown here in the trailer and I’m dying to dig into the game and, ideally, beat it in a single sitting to truly appreciate the sense of progression. Depending on the length, that is — I can’t be pulling all-nighters any more.
