Is there a Born of Bread physical edition?

Can you pick this game up from GameStop?

A Born of Bread physical edition would let this indie RPG live for decades to come. Most titles like this, however, are digital.

Can you buy a Born of Bread physical edition?

Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase Born of Bread physically at a store like GameStop or Walmart. “No physical release has been confirmed yet, but weā€™ll update that if anything changes,” said the publisher on a Steam forum.

If Born of Bread succeeds with fans and critics, it could lead to a physical edition. There are smaller publishers like Limited Run Games, 1Print Games, and Signature Edition Games that can pick up the rights and distribute a physical version. These titles usually have the complete version of them on disc, making these physical editions perfect for collectors.

Depending on the copyright terms, the developer WildArts Studio could self-publish too, like RedArt Games did with Revita.

Are there any physical games like this RPG?

If you’re looking for a turn-based RPG like Born of Bread, you can go back to its inspiration. Both the Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remakes are, or likely will be, available physically.

Another indie RPG Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling received a physical release from Limited Run Games. It’s fairly expensive on eBay, but if you want another Paper Mario-like experience, it’s a good option. The art style is similar as the paper-styled characters flip around as they walk. The mini-game-based combat also takes you back to the good old days of the Paper Mario series.
