Is Remnant 2 on Xbox Game Pass?

Gunfire Games’ next venture into the world of Remnant is ready to depart. But for those trying to save some cash, it might be worth knowing whether Remnant 2 is headed to Xbox Game Pass or not.

Though it costs money to buy into the Game Pass ecosystem, it does provide access to a lot of games. Frequently, day-one drops like Exoprimal are a good way to dip a toe into a game without paying the whole price tag up front. So is Remnant 2 on Xbox Game Pass?

Remnant 2 is now on Xbox Game Pass

While it didn’t launch on the Pass, Remnant 2 has officially joined the Xbox Game Pass service as of today, November 30, 2023. So yes, Remnant 2 is now available on Game Pass for Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

This is some good news for those who have been holding out on playing Gunfire’s latest, and heck, it’s a great way to convince your Game Pass owning friends to join you on some Remnant excursions. The co-op, slightly Souls-y shooter is fun solo but even more engaging with friends, in my experience. So now, your co-op night suggestion doesn’t come with a $50 price tag attached. Neat!

It sounds like Remnant 2 is pretty good, too. Here’s an excerpt from our review:

“If you were a fan of Remnant: From the Ashes, chances are you already planned to pick up Remnant 2. If you haven’t played the original but are a fan of souls-like games, or even rogue-likes like Risk of Rain 2 or Returnal, this will be right up your alley. At times it can be an extremely challenging experience, even on the easiest difficulty. But that’s also what makes it so rewarding when you finally kill that boss and obtain its loot. Even if, as is likely, it’s not something you plan on using.”

It sounds like if you held out for Game Pass, you’re getting your sub’s worth here. The original Remnant: From the Ashes also rejoins Game Pass alongside its successor, too.
