With its full release, Ready or Not has given tactical FPS fans the game they were looking for. The SWAT simulator features intense gunfights and requires tactical awareness from the player. As such, this makes it a perfect candidate for consoles. So is Ready or Not on Xbox?
Can you play Ready or Not on consoles?
At the time of the Ready or Not 1.0 full release, the tactical FPS is a PC exclusive. As such, it is not on Xbox, or any other console, at this time. In order to play Ready or Not you will need to do so on PC via Steam.
For those wanting to play on PC using an Xbox controller or even another controller, there is currently no official support to do so either. Of course, you can use the built-in Steam Controller Configuration to use any controller you’d like.
However, Ready or Not requires pinpoint accuracy with its tactical focus. There is no aim assist, which could make using a controller pretty tricky. It’s clear that in its current state Ready or Not is meant to be played with mouse and keyboard on a PC, and no other platform.
Will Ready or Not come to Xbox later?
According to developer VOID Interactive, the team is aware of the demand and desire for Ready or Not to come to consoles. The company would like to port it to consoles post-release someday, but nothing definite has been confirmed just yet.
Since Ready or Not just recently fully released with 1.0, it’s likely we will get some console news soon. Hopefully, it includes some sort of cross-platform play, as Ready or Not‘s team-based tactical gameplay would be perfect for it.
To summarize, is Ready or Not on Xbox? Not at this time. But, developer VOID Interactive hopes to change that in the future.
