Is Once Human cross platform?

Reach out.

Starry Studios anticipated online survival game, Once Human, has finally arrived. If youā€™re looking to get into it with friends, you may wonder if you need to be on the same platform as your friends.

Once Human is cross-platform with a few caveats.

First, it should probably be noted that there is no console version yet. Thatā€™s where cross-platform is really tested. Instead, you can play the game through different PC platforms, such as Steam and Epic Games Store. Later on, it will launch on Android and iOS, which will likely also use the same servers. Console versions havenā€™t been solidly announced.

All the different versions of Once Human have access to the same servers. If you join the same server as your friends, you can play with them. Thatā€™s perhaps the most important part.

The big caveat is that you canā€™t necessarily log in with your Steam account on Epic Games Store. If youā€™re playing on Steam and decide you want to switch to Epic Games Store (for whatever reason, Iā€™m not judging), then youā€™ll be starting fresh.

However, Starry Studios is planning to add more account options in the future that may allow for better conformity. For now, youā€™ll want to pick your preferred platform and stick with it.

However, to reiterate, regardless of whether you download from Steam, Epic Games Store, or Loading Bay, you can play with your friends on other platforms. It does have crossplay.
