Teshin in Warframe

Is it worth leveling up Conclave with Warframe’s new Faceoff mode?

Make Teshin proud

Warframe’s very first PvPvE mode, Faceoff, was introduced with the 1999 update, but a curious feature of the mode is that it rewards you with Conclave standing. Conclave is Warframe’s PvP syndicate, and since PvP in Warframe is dead, this is the first time in a while ranking it up is viable.

Faceoff isn’t the only new mode added in the 1999 update, and there are new mods, new weapons, and new arcanes, too. The question becomes, though, is Faceoff worth grinding to level up Conclave? Keep reading to have your memory refreshed on everything you can unlock.

Leveling up the Conclave syndicate means you’ll get access to a bunch of different wares you can buy from Teshin with standing in the Conclave Hall of each Relay, depending on your rank. Teshin mostly sells Conclave mods, which are mods specifically designed for PvP encounters.

These aren’t relevant in Faceoff or in PvE content most of the time, even when you can use them outside PvP content. So, unless you plan on trying to queue for older Conclave modes, where you’ll likely struggle to fill a lobby, you can pretty much disregard the mods Teshin offers.

However, he doesn’t just sell mods. Here’s everything else you can buy:

  • Sigils: Awakening, Perception, Awareness, Revelation, Prudence, Discretion, Diligence, Ambition, Volition, Freedom, Enlightenment, Discovery, Accord, Insight, Empathy, Unity
  • Relics: Syndicate Void Relic Pack (3x Random Void Relics)
  • Cosmetics: Riv Min-Guard Arm, Riv Min-Guard Chest, Riv Min-Guard Leg, Riv Comp-Guard Arm, Riv Comp-Guard Chest, Riv Comp-Guard Leg, Riv Elite-Guard Arm, Riv Elite-Guard Chest, Riv Elite-Guard Leg, Celestia Syandana
  • Skins: Braton Conclave Skin, Gorgon Conclave Skin, Latron Conclave Skin, Ack & Brunt Conclave Skin, Dragon Nikana Conclave Skin, Nikana Conclave Skin, Skana Conclave Skin, Dual Skana Conclave Skin, Angstrum Conclave Skin, Vasto Conclave Skin, Akvasto Conclave Skin, Viper Conclave Skin, Typhoon Conclave Skin, Sybaris Conclave Skin, Strun Conclave Skin, Daikyu Conclave Skin, Furax Conclave Skin, Kronen Conclave Skin, Lato Conclave Skin, Aklato Conclave Skin, Lex Conclave Skin, Grinlok Conclave Skin, Tonkor Conclave Skin, Jat Kittag Conclave Skin, Marelok Conclave Skin, Opticor Conclave Skin, Soma Conclave Skin, Karak Conclave Skin, Kraken Conclave Skin, Akstiletto Conclave Skin, Glaive Conclave Skin, Tipedo Conclave Skin
  • Resources: Exilus Weapon Adapter
  • Warframes: Mag, Volt, Excalibur
  • Scenes: Teshin’s Refuge Scene, Lunaro Arena Scene

There are easier ways to get Exilus Weapon Adapters as well as the base versions of Mag, Volt, and Excalibur, so we’d wager the most interesting things in the above list will be the cosmetics and the scenes, if they’re to your taste. Take a look a Teshin’s wares yourself to get a look.

How to level up Conclave with Faceoff in Warframe

There are two Faceoff missions in Warframe, a squad vs squad version and a single squad version where you compete with an AI team. You’ll only get Conclave standing for playing the squad vs squad variety, so you’ll need to play the Vehrvod District Faceoff: Squad vs Squad mission.

You’ll get more standing for playing this mission on Steel Path, but you can also earn standing when playing on normal. Here’s the breakdown for how standing is awarded:

  • Normal Path
    • 500 Conclave Standing for objective 1
    • 500 Conclave Standing for objective 2
    • 1000 Conclave Standing for objective 3
  • The Steel Path
    • 750 Conclave Standing for objective 1
    • 750 Conclave Standing for objective 2
    • 1500 Conclave Standing for objective 3

This means the winning team earns extra standing, as you can’t complete the third objective if the opposing team completes it first. Completing the third objectives ends a game of Faceoff. So, for winning a Faceoff match, you can earn up to 3,000 standing on Steel Path.

Here are the standing and rank-up requirements for the Conclave syndicate:

  • Rank 1 — Mistral: 5,000 standing, 2 Neurodes, 30,000 credits
  • Rank 2 — Whirlwind: 22,000 standing, 1 Forma, 50,000 credits
  • Rank 3 — Tempest: 44,000 standing, 1 Orokin Reactor, 100,000 credits
  • Rank 4 — Hurricane: 70,000 standing, 1 Orokin Catalyst, 250,000 credits
  • Rank 5 — Typhoon: 99,000 standing, 100 Orokin Ducats, 500,000 credits

As usual, you can only earn so much Conclave standing in a day, as determined by your daily standing cap. However, you can earn bonus standing for Conclave. There are challenges in Conclave (which can only be completed in Conclave PvP modes, it seems, at the time of writing) that allow for bonus standing to be acquired. This effectively raises your daily standing cap with Conclave.
