Is Endless Dungeon crossplay?

The platforms aren't playing nice here.

Endless Dungeon, developed by Amplitude Studios, is an exciting rogue-lite combining elements of twin-stick shooters and tower defense. As gamers countdown to launch, decisions may boil down to specific features like crossplay, allowing players on different platforms to play together. Here’s the answer to your question—is Endless Dungeon crossplay?

Is Endless Dungeon crossplay?

Unfortunately, it appears that Endless Dungeon will not support crossplay at launch. The game’s Steam page does not mention crossplay as a feature. For now, players will need to rely on allies using the same platform if they wish to play together online. This news may disappoint those hoping to team up with friends on different platforms.

A member of the development team confirmed this lack of cross-platform support in a Steam post, stating, “For the moment, there won’t be a crossplay between different consoles (you can do pc-egs, ps4-ps5, Xbox series). I prefer not to promise if in the future we will be able to implement it or not.”

Future possibilities for crossplay

While crossplay may not be available in the game at launch, it’s worth noting that developers often listen to player feedback and consider adding requested features in future updates. If there is enough demand from the community and it is technically possible, we may see crossplay in the game down the line.

As players await Endless Dungeon‘s launch, the absence of crossplay sooner doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be added later. In the wait for updates, keep an eye on developer announcements. Should Endless Dungeon see future updates, there’s always hope this could be one.
