After acquiring a handful of Artifacts, Vladimir will inform you he found a massive reading. He recommends checking it out and sends you to the planet Procyon III to check out the anomaly. Once there you will have to pull out your scanner and track down the anomaly. You will know when you’re headed in the right direction because your scanner circle will turn different colors and glitch out. Essentially you are looking for a strange temple buried in the snow with floating crystal formations around it. This is the Temple Eta. Look for a strange door that seems to open as you get close to it, as this leads inside the temple.
This is where you must go to complete the Into the Unknown mission in Starfield, and we have created a guide on how to complete Temple Eta as well.
How to complete Temple Eta and activate the rings
Welcome to your first temple, Temple Eta. Inside you will see a large circle on the floor. Step forward and rings will ascend into the air and start slowly spinning around. First, you need to go into the middle of the rings to activate and wake them up.
This is where it can get a bit confusing on how to proceed. In random spots in the room you are in, little anomalies will swirl into existence before fading back out. You can see what they look like in the screenshot below.
The inside of the temple defies the laws of gravity, so you should now be floating. You need to quickly float through these anomalies, which will cause another one to spawn somewhere else in the room. You only have a few seconds before the anomaly dissipates and a new one forms. Each anomaly you successfully reach will cause the rings in the center of the temple to spin faster and faster.
Once you have reached enough anomalies the rings will line up perfectly and form what looks like a gateway or portal in the middle of the temple that you can walk through.
What do you get for completing Temple Eta?
Once you interact with the lined-up rings in the middle of the Temple you will have another vision similar to when you touch an Artifact. However, this is a more interesting vision because once you wake up, you will have obtained a new power.
The specific power you unlock for completing the Temple Eta is the Anti-Gravity Field. This power generates a localized intense field of low gravity. You will also unlock the Powers menu for obtaining your first power.
Are there other temples in Starfield?
Yes, there are more temples in Starfield other than Temple Eta. It appears there is a temple for each Artifact, which means there are quite a few.
So far all of the temples I have encountered have worked the same way: land on a planet, find the source of the temple, go inside, and interact with several anomalies to line up the rings and obtain a new power.
Now that you know how to complete Temple Eta, your mission objective for Into the Unknown should be updated. It is now time to head back to the Lodge and notify your fellow Constellation members on what just happened.
