An artist from the team behind Alien Isolation has created a short but atmospheric teaser in tribute to horror series, Silent Hill.

James Brady — an environment QA artist for Creative Assembly — recreated the series’ trademark dark, dank environments in Unreal Engine 4.

The brief teaser is not a faithful recreation of Midwich Elementary School, but more a conceptual homage using elements taken from across the whole series, including the Halo of the Sun icon, and a Robbie the Rabbit, too.

When asked by a commenter if he had plans to release the level, Brady admitted he was “considering it for release this weekend”.

This is typically where I’d include a recap of the death of Silent Hills but I’m still too depressed to do so. Sad face.

Check out this real-life recreated of the wildly successful P.T. teaser.
