What is happening with Grimes and Fortnite?

On April 10, Grimes tweeted her excitement about playing new music at Coachella, while also asking fans to tune into the live stream on the second weekend because “we’re [going to] hack into it and bend reality with Fortnite.

What that means isn’t super clear, but with Fortnite and Epic Games involved, many have predicted that whatever is happening in the stream will also happen in-game, as part of an event.

When is Grimes performing at Coachella?

Grimes is performing on April 13 and April 20, but the Fortnite crossover is set for Saturday, April 20 and her second performance at the festival.

The times haven’t been confirmed yet, but some suggest that her set will start at around 7pm PT / 10pm ET.

Whether the possible event in Fortnite will start at the same time remains to be seen, but we expect that, like most events, it would be replayable for a period of time for those who miss it live.

We’ll continue to update this article as more information on Fortnite‘s role in Grimes’ set is released.
