Given the tactical nature of Gray Zone Warfare, communication with your teammates is important. However, many are expressing confusion over how to use voice chat (VOIP) within the game, as it doesn’t seem to be stated anywhere.
The default binding for voice chat is Z.
Depending on your preferences, that’s not the worst button, but you may want to change it to something more comfortable.
How to rebind the voice chat key in Gray Zone Warfare
In a typical game, you can rebind the voice chat key or set it to voice activation. However, to change this in Gray Zone Warfare isn’t an option. You can’t rebind the voice chat key. Not in the current version, anyway.
To be fair, that’s not a bad place for it, but many players like to rebind it. Usually, there’s also an option for voice detection or having it constantly receiving. Once again, that seems to be lacking from the Early Access launch build. You’re stuck with the Z key.
There is one thing that you can change, which is whether you use Proximity VOIP or Squad VOIP. This is found in the settings menu under Audio.
To reiterate: The voice chat (VOIP) button in Gray Zone Warfare is Z and you cannot rebind it.
