How to use the Reconstructed Device in The First Descendant

You have a lot of grinding ahead of you.

Void Intercept Battles are The First Descendant’s biggest and most epic battles. These are multi-person fights against giant enemies both robotic or otherwise. They sport an array of attacks that can devastate those who aren’t ready, and require a lot of bullets to put down. However, the rewards are extra sweet, including a device it spawns at the end of the battle. Here’s how to use the Reconstructed Device in The First Descendant.

As mentioned, the Reconstructed Device will spawn upon defeating the Void Intercept Battle boss. Once dead and their loot is dropped, you’ll see a small globe similar to the image above that can be interacted with. This machine is how you open any Anomalous Materials acquired from completing random activities. These are a sort of lootbox that, when opened, have a chance to give you parts for Ultimate Weapons and Descendants.

Be mindful that if you’re trying to mass open Anomalous Materials, you can only open one per Void Intercept Battle boss defeated. Additionally, only certain Anomalous Materials can be opened with certain bosses. You can see which bosses you need to defeat to open yours by going to your Inventory, clicking on the Consumable tab, then selecting Amorphous Material. Hovering over one and pressing the listed “Linked Reconstructed Device” button will let you see the specific boss. For example, one of my Amorphous Materials can only be opened at the Grave Walker, while another can only be claimed when defeating Stunning Beauty.
