How to use sprays in Marvel Rivals

Hit them with some graffiti.

Marvel Rivals draws a lot of similarities from Overwatch, including the sprays. Sprays have been a staple of gaming for a long time now, and they’re great if youā€™re a collector, or just want to show off some cool artwork.

In any case, hereā€™s how to use sprays in Marvel Rivals.

How to use sprays in Marvel Rivals

To use a spray in Marvel Rivals, you need to equip them on your character(s). So, to start, follow these steps:

  • In the main menu, head over to the Heroes tab.
  • Select the hero(es) that you plan on using.
  • Head over to the Cosmetics tab.
  • In the sub-tab, go over to Sprays.
  • Select the sprays you want to use, then press Equip.
  • A wheel should come up with four spray slots (this can go up to eight).

To actually use sprays in-game, you then need to know the key or button for it. You can find that in your settings menu. Follow these steps:

  • From the main menu, go to Settings.
    • On console, you can press the start/options button, then press Settings.
  • Go to the Controller or Keyboard tab.
  • In the sub-tab, go to Communication.
  • All the way at the bottom, in the Other Communication, is your binding to the spray wheel. It should be called ā€œCustomizable Wheelā€.
  • To get eight slots instead of four, find Ping Communication and find the ā€œNumber of Wheel Sectionsā€.
  • Set this option to Eight Sections.

How to unlock more sprays in Marvel Rivals

To unlock more sprays in Marvel Rivals, youā€™ll have to increase character proficiency, buy them from character cosmetic packs in the store, or progress through the Battle Pass.

Character proficiency is simply the equivalent of mastery in other games. For example, since Iā€™m using Peni Parker, Iā€™d increase her proficiency by using her, blocking damage, getting KOā€™s, and dealing damage with her Arachno-mines. Playing her enough got me her spray which I can now use on other characters.

As for the store and Battle Pass stuff, some may require actual money to get since some cosmetics can only be obtained by paying for them.
