In Black Ops 6 beta, you can equip your Melee weapon by holding the ‘Melee’ button. This differs from past entries like Modern Warfare 3, where Melees usually occupied the Secondary Weapon section. With the beta, a third slot is now designated for the more compact weapons, giving you a total of three tools in your arsenal.

If you’ve performed Finishing Moves in the past, the Melee interaction utilizes the same button and process. The only difference is that Finishing Moves requires an enemy Operator close by, similar to the returning Body Shield feature. So, as long as nobody is around you, you can freely equip your Melee weapon. You’ll also activate unlimited Tac Sprint while holding this tool, allowing you to travel more efficiently.

Keep in mind that the standard ‘Switch Weapon’ interaction does not work for Melee weapons. However, you can use it to swap out your knives for your Primary and Secondary.

While the Black Ops 6 beta currently offers a limited selection of tools, with the knife being the sole tool in the Melee category, there’s a lot to look forward to. The upcoming Weekend Two and the official launch are sure to bring more weapons, diversifying the collection and enhancing your gameplay.
