How to unlock the JAK Raven Kit in MW3

Modern Warfare 3 lets players customize their weapons like the MCW to the fullest, such as with aftermarket parts and conversion kits. The MW3 JAK Raven Kit is one such conversion item, which you can unlock through two methods.

How to unlock the JAK Raven Kit: Week 1 challenges

The two ways to unlock the JAK Raven Kit for the MCW are through challenges or the Armory Unlock system. At the time of writing this in week four, you can still unlock the conversion kit through the week one challenges in MW3, however, this will change in the near future. In the meantime, you can unlock the kit by completing five of the week one challenges.

Here are all of the week one challenges in the game:

• Eliminate five players who just eliminated you with a recommended weapon. 
• Get 20 operator eliminations with a silenced recommended assault rifle.
• Get 10 operator eliminations while sliding with a recommended weapon.
• Land one operator triple-kill with a recommended sniper (probably the hardest one).
• Get 20 operator eliminations with the MCW.
• Get 15 operator eliminations with sights equipped on a recommended AR.
• Land 15 operator headshot eliminations with the MCW.

There are seven total challenges, but you only need to complete five of them. As such, pick whichever five you are most comfortable with and go after their objectives. Recommended weapons appear often in these challenges, which requires you to do the task with one of the weapons in the game with a fire symbol next to it.

Armory Unlock system

The week one challenges will likely leave the game in the future, potentially around Season 2 and beyond. When this happens, there is an alternative way to get the JAK Raven Kit through the Armory Unlock system. This requires you to complete three daily challenges to unlock the JAK Raven Kit after you add it to your queue.

You can complete the three daily challenges you get every 24 hours in-game, but the easiest way is to simply win three matches. Matches also count as daily bonus points towards the items you are trying to unlock in the Armory.

MW3 JAK Raven Kit, explained

The MW3 JAK Raven Kit is a conversion item for the MCW assault rifle. It makes the AR more like an SMG hybrid weapon. It sacrifices the overall range and control this weapon’s known for in exchange for a much faster fire rate and hipfire spread. This arguably makes the already versatile weapon even better for close-range combat and longer-range fights as well.
