How to unlock the hot springs in Hades 2

Have a nice soak.

Nothing like a dip in a hot springs, but in order to get the geologically heated water pond in Hades 2, youā€™ll have to take care of a few things. This is how to unlock the Hot Springs.

The Crossroads Hot Springs is unlocked using the cauldron. However, the spell (and the cauldron itself) isnā€™t available from the start. You need to make enough progress for it to eventually become available. For me, this wasnā€™t until I reached the Dieldss of Mourning, which is the third area descending into Hades.

The spell is called ā€œRite of Vapor-Cleansing.ā€ Beyond unlocking the Hot Springs, it also provides you with your first Bath Salts. The spell requires:

  • 2 Moly
  • 2 Lotus
  • 2 Nightshade

The Moly and the Lotus are commonly found in Erebus and Oceanus. Nightshade has to be grown in the patches of dirt you also unlock at the Cauldron through the Flourishing Soil spell. If youā€™ve already used up your seeds, you can get more by taking the Silver Spade out with you on your journey. Thereā€™s a high chance youā€™ll get at least one when you dig up dirt patches in Erebus.

Once you perform the Rite of Vapor-Cleansing, the Hot Springs will be immediately available. You canā€™t use the springs by yourself, but the Bath Salts youā€™re given can be gifted out to some characters to have them visit the springs with you. Unfortunately, youā€™ll have to first gain their favor before theyā€™ll get in the water with you. You can always ply them with some more Nectar of the Gods.
