The Arcadion was introduced to Final Fantasy XIV with patch 7.01, and now two weeks later we’re getting patch 7.05 and the introduction of Dawntrail’s first savage raids. These are sure to be brutal, considering the difficulty of the normal raids, and will test even the most competent players skills.
Before you can unlock The Arcadion: AAC Light-Heavyweight (Savage), you’ll need to unlock The Arcadion’s normal raids. We have a more in-depth guide for this process, but in short you’ll need to:
- Reach level 100 with any Disciple of War or Magic Job
- Complete the level 100 MSQ quest ‘Dawntrail’
- Begin the road to unlocking The Arcadion by talking to the Stylish Stranger (X:19.1, Y:18.8) in Solution Nine and complete the quest ‘A New Challenger Appears’
How to unlock The Arcadion: AAC Light-Heavyweight (Savage)
Before you can unlock Dawntrail’s first savage raids, you’ll need to complete the complete questline of the first four normal raids, up to and including the level 100 quest ‘The Neoteric Witch’.
Once you’ve done that, head back to Solution Nine and find Gabbro (X:22.3 Y:17.1). Talking to him will unlock all four of the savage raids for you to complete. After this point, you’ll be able to access the raids through the High End section of the Duty Finder. However, you’ll need to complete each raid in order, with the next one unlocking after a successful completion of the previous.
The Arcadion: AAC Light-Heavyweight (Savage) details
Each fight within the first tier of The Arcadion (savage) has individual details which should be taken into account, but one overarching rule is that two players cannot enter as part of a party if they’re playing the same Job.
Otherwise, here are the details:
Raid | iLVL requirement | Time limit |
---|---|---|
AAC Light-heavyweight M1 | 700 or above | 90 minutes |
AAC Light-heavyweight M2 | 705 or above | 90 minutes |
AAC Light-heavyweight M3 | 710 or above | 90 minutes |
AAC Light-heavyweight M4 | 710 or above | 120 minutes |
The Arcadion: AAC Light-Heavyweight (Savage) rewards
After successfully completing one of the savage fights, gear coffers will appear. The number of treasure coffers which will appear depends on the number of people who are replaying a duty prior to a weekly reset.
These coffers contain items which, when used, will transform into gear suitable for the players current Job. In AAC Light-heavyweight M4 (Savage), there will also be individual weapons which drop and can be rolled for.
As well as these coffers, players will automatically earn copies of AAC Illustrated: LHW edition. These are the tokens for these raids, and you can exchange them for gear pieces by talking to Hhihwi in Solution Nine (X:8.7 Y:13.4).
