During Wuthering Wave’s first chapter, the main protagonist, Rover, uses Spectro damage exclusively. However, after some time, you’ll unlock their secondary Resonance, Havoc, acting as an overall improvement to Rover’s kit, especially if you’re up against enemies weak to havoc damage.
How to unlock Havoc Rover Resonance in Wuthering Waves
You’ll unlock Rover’s Havoc Resonance for free after finishing Wuthering Waves’ Grand Warstorm Chapter One, Act VI story mission. You can start this quest once you reach Union Level 21 and rank up to Sol3 Phase 3. After hitting this point and advancing through the missions, you’ll unlock the ability to switch between Rover’s Spectro and Havoc Resonances freely.
How to use Havoc Rover in Wuthering Waves
Once you complete Grand Warstorm, you’ll unlock the ability to switch between Spectro and Havoc on Rover’s attribute details screen. To do this, head to the Resonator menu and use the swap icon to view both Resonances. Now, if you wish to use Havoc instead, you can select it on this page.

Similarly, if you anticipate fighting an enemy weak to Spectro and need to switch again, you can do so through this menu. Alongside changing Rover’s damage type, they’ll also gain a new skillset and stat changes to reflect their changed form.
Is Havoc Rover better than Spectro?
Rover’s Havoc element is an improvement from Spectro in almost every way. Although Spectro Rover boasts higher HP and Defensive stats, making them slightly tankier, Havoc is designed for pure DPS. Combining Havoc Rover’s higher attack stats with increased crit Rate and damage, and you’ve got a powerhouse who can deal with bosses easily.
The only exception to this is those with a weakness to Spectro damage or resistance against Havoc. However, Havoc Rover can still out-damage Spectro easily in most situations, rivaling and surpassing some of the most powerful four- and five-star DPS characters in Wuthering Waves.
