How to swap weapons as a Barbarian in Diablo 4

The Barbarian class can actually have up to four weapons equipped at once. Diablo 4 has a built in system that will make your character automatically change their weapon based on the skill that you use. For example, let’s say a skill requires a two-handed axe. If you have one equipped, your character animation will automatically wield the axe when performing the skill animation. They will continue to utilize that weapon until you use a skill of another weapon type.

At level five you unlock the Arsenal system mechanic that is exclusive to Barbarian. Using the arsenal system you can assign specific weapon types to your skills to further increase your damage output. Even with this system you will typically want to equip whichever weapon has the best DPS and attack speed. Finally, to further enhance this system Barbarian’s can specialize in the Walking Arsenal passive skill. This skill increases the damage of the Barbarian every time they switch weapons.

As a Rogue in Diablo 4 you will probably have both ranged skills(that utilize bows and crossbows) as well as melee skills(that utilize daggers and swords). Similar to the Barbarian, these skills will automatically switch to the proper equipped weapon type when used. Because of this system you can pretty much just make sure you equip whichever weapons are tailored to your build or increase your DPS.
