The final DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Indigo Disk, is here as part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Whether you played The Teal Mask or are just picking up the game and DLC for the first time, here’s what you need to know about starting the new content.
What to do before starting The Indigo Disk
The Indigo Disk gives players access to legendary Pokemon from prior games in the series, but you have quite the checklist to finish before getting to the point where you can catch Lugia, Kyogre, or Zapdos.
As The Indigo Disk is part two of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, you need to have completed the first DLC, The Teal Mask. Additionally, you must finish the main Scarlet and Violet story, which includes completing every core story path until you see the credits roll.
Keep in mind that The Teal Mask has much looser requirements to enter. You can start it after getting around three hours into the story of Scarlet and Violet. If you’re starting Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for the first time, then feel free to combine The Teal Mask with your main story adventure.
When you’ve met the requirements to start The Indigo Disk, you’ll be invited to attend Blueberry Academy for some study abroad fun. From there, you can enjoy The Indigo Disk as the true post-game content that it is.
Happy catching!
