Filling up that Impact meter is the key to staggering enemies.

Armored Core 6 provides mech combat that’s satisfying weighty and filled with plenty of high-action moments. Getting started isn’t too hard, though there are plenty of elements to wrap your head around before you fully master combat. Armored Core 6’s Impact meter explained

There are a few meters on your screen to pay attention to, including two Impact meters. You’ll find yours at the bottom of your screen, just above your Boost gauge. Your enemy’s Impact meter is found at the very top of the screen, above their health bar.

You should be trying to fill up that Impact meter which, as you’d expect, is done by landing hits on your target. All weapons will get the job done, but some are better than others, so if you’re trying to fill up the Impact meter quickly, you’ll have to grab weapons that deal high Impact. This includes the DF-BA-06 XUAN-GE bazooka, the DF-GR-07+GOU-CHEN grenade launcher, and the BML-G2/PO5MLT-10 missile launcher.

How to stagger enemies in Armored Core 6

Land enough attacks on your enemy, and the Impact meter will eventually fill up, causing your foe to stagger. This is your chance to unleash your most powerful weapons to land the greatest damage.

Although it’s important to focus on your opponent’s Impact meter, don’t forget to watch your own. Hits that you take will fill up your Impact meter. When it’s full, you’ll be left in a vulnerable state where you take more damage. To make it harder to fill up your Impact meter, focus on improving your Attitude Stability and Attitude Recovery stats.
