To find the Cult Stash, head to Downtown Watery and make your way to the easternmost dock. Among the other boxes, you will find the Battery Cult Stash waiting for you. However, you’ll need to do some math to open it. Look for the puzzle inscribed on the stash, which contains the following information:

There are three batteries (B1, B2, B3) which have a combined charge of 1600 Amps. B2 has 128 Amps more than B3. B1 has two times as much charge as B3. How many Amps does B2 have?

How to solve the Battery Amps Cult Stash puzzle in Alan Wake 2

Math problems can be daunting, but fear not! By setting up a system of equations, we can easily solve this puzzle. If you just want the solution, we’ll include that below.

Let’s assign B3 as the unknown value and express B1 and B2 in terms of B3:

  • B2 = B3 + 128
  • B1 = 2B3
  • B1 + B2 + B3 = 1600

By replacing B1 and B2 with their respective expressions, we obtain a new equation:

  • 2B3 + (B3 + 128) + B3 = 1600

Simplifying the equation, we have:

  • 4B3 + 128 = 1600

Solving for B3, we find:

  • 4B3 = 1472
  • B3 = 1472 ÷ 4
  • B3 = 368

To determine the charge of B2, substitute B3 into the equation B2 = B3 + 128:

  • B2 = 368 + 128
  • B2 = 496

Congratulations! The code to unlock the stash is 4-9-6, from top to bottom.
