How to solve Experiencing Dadd-E puzzles in Zenless Zone Zero

During Chapter 2, you’ll encounter the challenging puzzle mission, Experiencing Dadd-E. The quest relatively correlates to past objectives, like The Last Delivery Order and Survivor Rescue. However, the mission presents an all-new mechanic that can be tricky to master. We’re here to help by showing you how to solve Experiencing Dadd-E puzzles in ZZZ.

How to complete Experiencing Dadd-E in Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero’s Experiencing Dadd-E puzzle mission requires your party to be at Level 28. No recommended Attributes are needed for this quest, so you can choose any party member.

As the mission kicks off, you’ll be greeted with two nearly identical layouts. The character, Dadd-E, will mirror your movements on the second set of monitors, gathering materials on their side. The challenge here is to stay within the 30-move limit, as exceeding it might not sit well with Dadd-E.

Eventually, the layouts will start to differentiate to increase the challenge. You must collect six Gear Coin Transactions (complete six puzzles) to receive an S-Rank using the following puzzle solutions:

Puzzle 1 solution

The first puzzle starts out relatively simple with its compact layout. Follow these steps to gain all the rewards:

1. Move two spaces to the right
2. Go down two monitors
3. Move two spaces to the left
4. Travel down two spaces
5. Go two monitors to the right

Your movements will then transfer over to Dadd-E, which should reach their corresponding rewards. Next, hand over the 3,000 Gear Coins to get to the following destination.

Puzzle 2 solution

Experiencing Dadd-E’s second puzzle requires hitting a Trigger Switch to gain Gear Coins. However, Dadd-E won’t have this feature available, so the layouts will differ slightly. Here’s what you need to do to collect each gift:

1. Go down two spaces
2. Hit the red button (a new monitor will appear)
3. Take a left
4. Go down one space
5. Return to the original starting point
6. Move two spaces to the right
7. Go all the way down to the bottom-right corner
8. Travel to the ZZZ Hollow Exploration icon

Puzzle 3 solution

The third puzzle is where things get more complicated, as there will be plenty of hard-to-reach Gear Coins. You can follow these steps to obtain them:

1. Go down two spaces
2. Move two monitors to the right
3. Go down two spaces
4. Travel up two spaces
5. Move two monitors to the left
6. Return to the original starting point
7. Move two spaces to the right
8. Go to the bottom-right corner of the puzzle
9. Reach the ZZZ finishing point

Look out for the highlighted box on Dadd-E’s layout to see where it will be located (it will likely be different from your character’s).

Puzzle 4 solution

For Puzzle 4, players must move around the correct way on the left side to reach the Gear Coins on the right. You can do this by using these maneuvers:

1. Take a right
2. Return to the original position
3. Go down two spaces
4. Move two monitors to the right
5. Hit the red trigger
6. Take a right
7. Move up to the top-left corner of the puzzle
8. Go back down to the bottom-right corner
9. Travel to the ZZZ finishing point

Puzzle 5 solution

We’re almost to the home stretch for ZZZ’s Experiencing Dadd-E puzzles. Like the previous one, the fifth challenge will present another set of monitors designed with a number layout. You’ll notice that your side showcases a number ‘9’, while Dadd-E’s depicts a ‘2’. Players will need to backtrack a few times to collect all the resources with these steps:

1. Go down two spaces
2. Move two monitors to the right
3. Move two spaces to the left
4. Return to the original starting point
5. Move two monitors to the right
6. Go down the bottom-right corner of the puzzle
7. Travel up two spaces
8. Move two monitors to the left
9. Go two spaces to the right
10. Head to the ZZZ Hollow Exploration icon

Puzzle 6 solution

The final puzzle ends with a ’93’ layout, where all the Gear Coins will be stationed on Dadd-E’s side. Fortunately, this challenge is one of the more manageable objectives, using these steps:

1. Move two spaces to the right
2. Go down two monitors
3. Move two spaces to the left
4. Travel two monitors to the right
5. Go down two spaces
6. Move two spaces to the left

You must prepare for a battle once you’ve handed over the Gear Coins. If you are at Level 28, the fight should go by quickly.
