How to respawn Tera Raid dens in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Anything to help with your treasure hunt!

Pokemon Sword & Shield may have introduced poke-players to Raid dens, but Scarlet & Violet takes the concept one step further with the Terastallization mechanic. In these Tera Raid dens, the enemy ‘mon is automatically Terastallized, and it’s up to a group of four players to defeat them.

While the raids themselves can be challenging, finding a specific Pokemon through them can prove even harder. For example, if a player is seeking a Pokemon with an Electric Tera type, they may find themselves scouring the overworld of Paldea for a long while. So, the fact that players can refresh Tera Raid dens in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet might sound like a godsend. You just need to know that pulling it off requires changing the time on your Nintendo Switch.

For players who decide they don’t want to manipulate the game’s system, Tera Raid dens will automatically refresh every night at midnight (local time). If you’re content waiting, just waiting for them to reset will work. But, should you feel the need to reroll Tera Raid dens manually, here’s how to do it.

In order to respawn Tera Raid dens manually, you’ll start by pressing the HOME button on the right side of your Switch. This will return you to the main hub with all of your most recently played games. Near the bottom of the screen, you should see a smaller row of options, including Nintendo Switch Online, News, and the Nintendo eShop. Scroll through those options until you reach a button that looks either like a gear. It should be to the left of the Sleep Mode option.

Once in the System Settings menu, scroll all the way to the bottom until you find a tab called SYSTEM. In here, find DATE & TIME, and then toggle Synchronize Clock via Internet OFF. Then, change the date to one day in the future and return to the game.

If all goes well, the Tera Raid dens will respawn. However, you might notice a specific den you were looking for isn’t there. That’s because dens won’t necessarily appear in the exact same place. So, you might need to repeat this process several times to hunt for a specific Pokemon or a particular Tera Type. In any case, good luck on your treasure hunt!
