How to repair the base in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Rebuilding the past.

One of the first tasks you will get in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is to rebuild the base. You will be assigned this task just after clearing your way to Myoko Pass, but it can be a little confusing to figure out what you need to do at first.

The first thing you need to do is assign some of your helpful villagers to the various repair tasks available in the village. There are multiple small chores available that can require anywhere up to three villages, and each one also has a period of time that must pass in order for it to be completed.

Each repair area will be marked by a small bubble with an icon inside, and when you interact with it, you will have the option to place some villagers. Assign the correct number, and try to ensure you are maximizing your available villagers. With four to use, you should do the two lantern repairs, then the Jizo statues, and then the Kannon statue.

Now, the confusing part is how you progress time during these repairs. You cannot use the usual method, as the repairs are not measured in Days and Nights but rather in occurrences that happen on the Stage Selection screen.

If you use the main menu or head to the Tori Gate to get to the Stage Selection screen, you will notice a new node has appeared to the left of the Myoko Pass area that looks like an angry monster. This is your first boss fight, and it’s time to get stuck into learning some boss mechanics.

Complete that fight, and then you will arrive back in Myoko Pass to find that the repairs you assigned have been completed. Before you can assign those villagers to new repairs, which you should do straight away, you will need to go and “oversee” the job by interacting with them. After that, you can assign them to a new job and continue to repair the base.

Every time you assign them some work, you can progress it by doing something on the Stage Selection screen. For example, as a challenge, you can repeat the Myoko Pass stage or the Gakinyudo boss fight to try and earn extra resources. After completing all the repair jobs, head to the tent in the base to pick your rewards, and you’ll earn an increased cap for your max crystals and a talisman to help you keep Yoshiro alive.
