How to read Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series in order

Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson books quickly became a mainstay of the Fantasy genre after the release of the first book, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, in 2005.

Since then, Riordan has created a franchise known as the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles, which contains not only the first five Percy Jackson books but also two more five-book series, short stories and graphic novels. 

As well as the Percy Jackson books, which focus on Greek gods within the 21st century, Riordan has also written two other series of books that focus their attention on other mythological eras: The Kane Chronicles, which focuses on Egyptian mythology, and the Magnus Chase books, which take their inspiration from Norse mythology.

Because these books are set within the “RiordanVerse”, to get a full understanding of the universe, you’ll need to read all of them. So, if you want a deep dive into the “RiordanVerse”, here’s the order in which you’d need to read every book, including short stories and companion books:
