How to reach the top of the Northern Summit in Fisch

Journey to the top

Northern Summit is the very first location you’ll come across in Fisch, and reaching its top is no mean feat.

It’s the highest point of the Northern Summit, and you can find a camp that allows you to get the Advanced Glider. However, reaching the location will require the proper setup, and you’ll have to make sure not to get lost in the process. Thankfully, reaching the top spot isn’t as difficult as you might think.

Best way to reach the top of Northern Summit in Fisch

For better understanding, we will break the entire path down into three parts.

  • How to reach the first location (Overgrowth Caves)
  • How to reach the camp where the Summit Rod is available (Location two)
  • How to finally reach the summit.

Make sure that you have the Glider in your inventory. Reach Northern Summit, and take the path that leads you inside the island. Take the ladders on the path to reach up a few cliffs, and you’ll come across a couple of tents. Keep continuing along the path, and after a couple of more ladders, you’ll come across a point where the main path will turn left.

Take the narrow path instead to your right, and you’ll reach Overgrowth Caves by traveling along the cliffside path. You’ll notice that there are two sets of ladders: one going left and the other going right. While we will have to travel right, go left. This will take you to the camp where the Pickaxe and Avalanche Rod, but more importantly, you’ll be able to get the Temperature and Oxygen bars.

Go back to the start of Overgrowth Caves and take the ladder to the right. This will lead us to the second location, and the route can be a bit confusing. To make it easy for you, I have broken down the entire path into smaller segments.

  • Take the two ladders and head straight till you come across a gap between two cliffs. Use the glider to move across.
  • Go straight, jump down, and turn left to find a narrow path between two cliffs.
  • Go straight, and stop following the main path. Instead, turn left and proceed.
  • Climb up all three ladders, head straight, and then turn left. You’ll find a natural bridge. Go past it and turn right.
  • Keep going straight till you come to the very end. You’ll get a ladder to climb up. You’ll now go to travel in the backward direction but on a different (and higher path).
  • Keep along the path, and take any ladder you see. You’ll come across a path with a couple of crates (they’re empty). Go straight from this point.
  • Another natural bridge will appear, and go straight to find the path that leads to the second campsite location.
  • Stick to the left, and there will be ladders along the way. You’ll also need to use your Glider, and you’ll eventually reach the spot where the Winter Cloak and Summit Rod are available.

Before we begin our journey to the top, make sure to warm yourself up. You’ll also need the Winter Cloak and the Oxygen Tanks (Intermediate should be enough, but make sure to refill it).

  • After refilling your Oxygen, jump down. You’ll see a big yellow tent. Take the narrow path to its left and proceed along the path.
  • Keep traveling around the cliffside path, and you’ll get five consecutive ladders to climb up. After climbing all of them, turn right and keep going straight.
  • You’ll again find a set of ladders that will help you to travel up the cliffs.
  • At this point, the only viable path will be following the orange ladders that keep going upwards. Just search for them, and you’ll be good.
  • Make sure to equip the Winter Cloak so that you’re not frozen to death. This should be enough to take you to the very top of Northern Summit in Fisch.

At this location, you can choose to get the Advanced Glider and the Winter Cloak (in case you didn’t buy it from where the Summit Rod is available.
