How to Play Casual Mode With Friends in Shonen Unleashed
To play one of the four casual game modes together with someone, you first need to join the same server. Any of your friends can do this by inviting each other while in Shonen Unleashed. Click on the casual button at the top of the title screen, and you will join the same casual lobby.
Casual lobby game modes rotate between free-for-all, deathmatch, team battles, and team deathmatch. Each casual match lasts 6 minutes with a 30-second cooldown in between them. If you want to take a break at any point, click the AFK button that shows up during the intermission or while respawning.
How to Play Ranked Mode With Friends in Shonen Unleashed
You can join the ranked lobby in Shonen Unleashed either by clicking on the ranked button in the title screen or by talking to Vegeta while you are in the casual lobby. Next, choose the region that is best for your ping and enable invites at the bottom left. You should then click either the 2v2 or the 3v3 button to create a party and invite the others.
Keep in mind that once your party is full, you will immediately jump into a ranked game, as there is no queue-up button. If you want to fight your friends in 1v1 ranked mode, your best bet is to join the same region, preferably a less populated one, and queue up at the same time with hopes of facing each other off.
How to Play With Friends on Private Servers in SU
If one of you owns the private server battlepass, you can all join the same PS through the corresponding menu on the title screen. You can also join one of the private servers listed in our Shonen Unleashed PS codes article. If you are lucky enough, you can freely 1v1 with your friends without other people interrupting you.
Keep in mind that because the ranked mode is based on regions, you can’t force-fight your friends in ranked by joining the same private server.
I hope this guide helps you team up and make some epic moments with your friends in Shonen Unleashed. If you want to check out more of our articles on SU, go check out the Shonen Unleashed hub of Destructoid.
