How to play multiplayer in MLB The Show 25

Two is better than one

Going online and playing with others in MLB The Show 25 is one of the best ways to enjoy the game. One way is to play online with and against your friends with the default squads, which include the updated lineups from all MLB franchises.

Then there’s the Diamond Dynasty mode, which is an entirely online mode. This guide will brief you on how to play online and compete with other players in MLB The Show 25.

How to play online with your friends in MLB The Show 25

Playing with another human being is pretty easy; all you have to do is have them on your friend list. If the two of you are on different consoles, there’s no worry since MLB The Show 25 supports crossplay (turned on by default).

  • From the Quick Menu, open your Friend list.
  • Make sure that your friend is online, which will allow you to invite them to a game.
  • Choose your game settings. You can tweak what you want, including ballpark, timings, and more.
  • Once you’ve decided on the settings, start the game.

While playing online with your friend is fine, I am a bigger fan of the Diamond Dynasty mode.

Diamond Dynasty is the ultimate test of your in-game skills as you create your dream team with different cards. The mode has a few single-player modes, but the online content will genuinely test you out.

From Ranked to casual, you can enjoy various games that will test you to your limits. Ranked is the most serious of all, as winning games will help you improve your ratings. Diamond Dynasty also allows you to play co-op with your friend if you think things are too competitive. The Casual mode is perfect if you just want to jump in and swing your bat a few times.

Additionally, plenty of rotating events also form part of the Diamond Dynasty mode. Some of them will have customized rules that offer quicker gameplay and results. All things considered, there’s plenty of multiplayer (and single-player action) in Diamond Dynasty.

That’s pretty much all the multiplayer aspects in MLB The Show 25‘s Diamond Dynasty mode. Do note that there are Now and Later packs you’ll receive soon if you played MLB The Show 24, and they can provide you with a nice head start.
