How to pilfer weapons from weapon cases in Fortnite

Enjoy some weapon upgrades.

Weapon cases in Fortnite are great for obtaining new guns, especially early in a match when you’re initially scrambling for items. They often hold rare and epic-grade weapons, allowing you to get powerful guns early on until you visit golden landmarks or Loot Island. Depending on the season, you might even encounter an event asking you to open weapon cases, such as during the Pirates of the Caribbean Cursed Sails event.

Where to find weapon cases in Fortnite

Pilfering weapon cases in Fortnite simply means opening them as you usually would. You can find weapon cases in landmarks like Sandy Steppes, Rebel’s Roost and Reckless Railways or as a guaranteed spawn inside bunkers. If you want to open several weapon cases, your best bet is to visit a POI to claim a few before waiting for a bunker, entering it, and looting it. If you’re lucky, you might even get the chance to open weapon cases in multiple bunkers during the same match.

You’ll know you’ve successfully found weapon cases when you spot containers revealing weapons in their glass displays. Each case gives one gun, allowing you to grab multiple upgrades if you’re early in the match or get lucky with the drops. Just be careful, as you may find other players looking to finish their quests or get a gun upgrade, too.

Weapon cases also regularly appear as quest objectives, ranging from opening a few as a weekly mission to finding several during seasonal events. Watch your quests screen, and remember a few weapon case locations just in case you need to revisit them.
