How to pickpocket in Schedule 1

Schedule 1 might be all about crimes and growing your business empire, but you can also try your hand at robbing your clients.

Whether it’s a customer who didn’t accept your last deal or doesn’t negotiate on your terms, pickpocketing them can be a way to bring justice. Successfully pickpocketing an NPC will also land you the Indian Dealer trophy, and it might be valuable if you’re trying to Platinum the game (or whatever the equivalent is).

Schedule 1 Pickpocket guide

To pickpocket in Schedule 1, follow these steps:

1. Target an NPC you want to steal from
2. Press the CTRL key to sneak up behind them
   • Make sure you don’t attempt this stunt when police are around or in front of the station—unless you want all your items confiscated.
3. Once you approach an NPC while crouching behind them, you’ll see a prompt to press the E button to attempt a pickpocket.
   • Doing so will pause the game in real-time and start a mini-game. Completing the mini-game is really simple; just match your button input with the sliding arrow (reminds me of the Roblox mini-games in Fisch).
4. Press the button at the right moment to steal an item and place it in your inventory. Make sure you have a free slot in your inventory to complete the task successfully.

If you fail the mini-game, the first job is to flee the scene of the crime because the NPC will call the police. If you don’t pay attention, an investigation will be launched against you, and cops will begin chasing you. If you want to complete the Indian Dealer achievement, you have to pickpocket a client after supplying them with the drugs.

In case you can’t flee after failing the mini-game, you’ll have to escape the police investigation. Try to run to your hideout before a police officer can spot you, since it’s the safest place to hide. Wait till the Investigation sign from the top of your screen gets erased. Make sure to turn off the lights in your room if it’s dark outside. I am unsure if that helps, but darkness is your ally when you’re trying to flee after committing a crime.

If you can’t get to your hideout, try to find large trashcans, which are placed all over the map. Open one of them, jump inside, and close the lid. Pray to whatever god you believe in to escape the clutches of the cops chasing you. To minimize your losses, try to pickpocket an NPC when you’re not carrying any drugs.
