There are several benefits to changing time in Infinity Nikki, from certain quests at specific times of day to taking scenic pictures in the bright sunlight or moonlight. Fortunately, if you need to finish a quest during the day or night, you can pass the time using a cute minigame.
How to switch to day and night in Infinity Nikki
Passing time in Infinity Nikki requires completing the game’s tutorial and progressing far enough into the main story to unlock Run, Pear-Pal. Your Pear-Pal is a tablet-like menu where you can access the in-game store, wardrobe, quests, and other gameplay features to help you progress. Among your options is Run, Pear-Pal, a minigame that behaves like Flappy Bird to pass the time.
Once you’re in the Run, Pear-Pal menu, you’ll find a clock, the current in-game time, and an arrow. Turning the arrow lets you set a new time, with the outer rings indicating whether you’re approaching day, dusk, night, or dawn. These influence the environment and certain quests, so make sure you pick the right hour range for your current activity.
You have two options from here: play the Run, Pear-Pal minigame, or skip it to pass the time after a few seconds. If you skip it, your arrow will automatically turn around the circle until it reaches your chosen time. Otherwise, you can brush up on your Flappy Bird skills.
Well, it’s not quite Flappy Bird, but similar in design. As you start up the minigame, you’ll see a small yellow bird run across the bottom of the screen, which you can control by pressing the spacebar on your PC or the jump button on your device.
Throughout this 30-second minigame, purple clouds will appear, obstructing your vision and making it harder to predict what’ll happen next. Your goal is to fly past these clouds and get as high of a score as possible, collecting yellow fruits along the way to travel faster.
Does getting a low score prevent you from passing time? No, it doesn’t. It’s just to have some fun while waiting, and you don’t have to play it if you wish. There’s also no leaderboard, so you can’t compare your score to other global players. If you want to compete with friends or get a high score for fun, you’re more than welcome to play this quick game while waiting for Infinity Nikki’s day-night cycle to pass.
