How to pass the falling wall of sand in Black Myth: Wukong

The falling wall of sand can be found to the right of the Rockrest Flat Shrine in the Yellow Wind Ridge area. As you approach it, you will find yourself stopped by an invisible barrier that ripples a little as you push against it. The only way to get through the barrier is if you have an item called the Loong Scales.

To get the Loong Scales, you need to play through the game until you reach the fight against the First Prince of Flowing Sands near the Valley of Despair Shrine. When you are you are fighting him, try to get him to crash into the ornate wall. If you can’t, that’s okay. Just use the Wandering Wight Spirit to smash your way through. Go through the small gap, and you will find the Loong Scales inside.

If you have this item, you will be able to interact with the sand fall and dispel it, which will reveal a hidden door. Open it to get to a secret boss fight. This boss, the Black Loong, is a vicious beast armed with two electricity-powered clubs.

This guy really doesn’t mess around, and he hits hard. For the most part, he spends a lot of time smashing the ground with his clubs, and these attacks are easy to dodge. He can also smash his clubs together, and if he does this, you will need to dodge back as it releases a powerful blast of energy.

He can also smash the ground repeatedly, sending out waves of energy. Focus only on dodging these; don’t worry about trying to hit him. You’ll need to play a little rhythm game as this goes on for an uncomfortable length of time.

The last thing to watch out for is his sand attack. He will charge it up, and then unleash it, but you can dispel it and stun him using the Wind Tamer that you get in the secret area if you manage to help the Yellow-Robed Squire complete his quest.

And that’s it; you are past the falling sand, and your pockets are filled with loot from taking out a new boss.
