How to merge Fortnite accounts

Note: You cannot.

Fortnite seems to be a game that’ll never die. Just when you think it’s hit a lull, Epic Game unveils a new event or campaign that not only prolongs the game’s hype, but in some cases exceeds it. With the recent Fortnite OG event making waves, players everywhere are wondering: can you merge Fortnite accounts?

How to merge Fortnite accounts

I regret to inform you that you can’t. But, for what it’s worth, you’re absolutely not alone. In fact, it’d seem that so many people found themselves in possession of two (or more) Epic Games / Fortnite accounts with a desire to merge them that the developer made a blanket post via their official help site.

“There is no way to merge two Epic Games accounts. Player Support is unable to assist with requests for merging accounts,” the website says.

But, if you find yourself in need of connecting an Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Switch account to an existing Epic Games account, that’s a separate — but possible — issue.

How to connect my Fortnite account to Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo?

To begin this process, you can navigate to the Accounts Connections section of your Epic Games profile. You’ll need to sign up for an Epic Games account or sign into an existing account, and then you’ll have the option to connect an existing Facebook, Google, Steam, Github, Twitch, Xbox, PSN, Nintendo, or Nike account with your Epic Games account.
