How to make Ratatouille in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are many recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Considering that we have a Rat for a chef, perhaps none is more iconic than the dish that shares its name with the movie from which he comes—Ratatouille. 

Ratatouille is a 5-star dish that you can begin to make once you’ve unlocked Remy from the Ratatouille Realm. Most of the ingredients for Ratatouille come from gardening, so you’ll need to give Goofy some of your hard-earned Star Coins to purchase seeds. 

Ratatouille often comes up as a favored gift for villagers, but it also provides 1,562 energy and sells for 906 Star Coins.

How to unlock the Ratatouille recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlocking the Ratatouille recipe is done by completing Remy’s quests when you first visit La Ratatouille from within the Dark Castle. To begin with, our favorite Rat chef will only trust you to wash dishes or cook simple dishes, but eventually, he will entrust you with his most famous recipe, Ratatouille.

The problem is, he won’t tell you what ingredients you need unless you have prior knowledge of how Ratatouille is made, so you’ll have to figure it out. He will tell you that you need “tomatoes, three cooked vegetables and a spice,” but that’s about it. Thankfully, there are a lot of ingredients around his kitchen, so you won’t have to do anything other than throw things into the pot and hope for the best, or you could keep reading because all the ingredients are listed below!

How to get all of the Ratatouille ingredients

As a 5-star dish, you’ll need five ingredients in order to make Ratatouille:

• 1 Tomato
  • Seeds purchased from Goofy’s Stall on Dazzle Beach for 8 Star Coins each
  • Tomatoes take 25 minutes to grow and require two waterings in that time
• 1 Eggplant
  • Seeds purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Frosted Heights for 95 Star Coins each
  • Eggplants take three hours to grow and require two waterings in that time
• 1 Onion
  • Seeds purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor for 50 Star Coins each
  • Onions take 75 minutes to grow and require two waterings in that time
• 1 Zucchini
  • Seeds purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Sunlit Plateau for 30 Star Coins each
  • Zucchinis take 40 minutes to grow and require two waterings in that time
• 1 Herb
  • Can be any foragable herb from any biome (Basil, Mint, Oregano)

Once you’ve grown and gathered your ingredients, you can use any cooking station to cook up your Ratatouille as long as you have some Coal in storage or in your inventory.
