So, you’ve made Shrek, Peter Griffin, and humans at large, and now’s the time to finally kick things into second gear by summoning Cthulhu itself in Infinite Craft. Indeed, this delightful little game allows you to conjure the Great Old One, and it’s pretty darn complicated.
As there are a lot of steps to go through before you’ve got an Infinite Craft Cthulhu all of your own, we opted to keep this guide’s diagram relatively streamlined. Thus, straightforward elements, such as ‘Ocean’, are not explained in the diagram, but unlocking them is easy. In this particular example, all you need to do is stack ‘Water’ elements over and over again until you’ve got the Ocean unlocked. And hey, once you’ve got ‘Ocean,’ you’re just one calamari away from Cthulhu, right?
DIY Cthulhu with Infinite Craft
As you kick things off in Infinite Craft with only Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind, inventing your way to the literal avatar of the Great Old One is going to take some creativity for sure. Here’s how we went about doing just that!
The first order of business for us was to unlock the generic ‘Monster’ element, making things easier down the line. To do so, we followed steps similar to the ones taken in our Shrek guide, but modified them to get the ‘Loch Ness’ element, too. Combine ‘Loch Ness’ with ‘Mud’, and voila: you’ve got your Monster ready to go.
With that out of the way, there are two other very simple elements you’ll need here: Ocean and Metropolis. As we outlined above, to get ‘Ocean,’ all you need to do is to stack two ‘Water’ elements together to get the ‘Lake,’ and then add one more for ‘Water’. ‘Metropolis’ is only slightly more involved, as you need to start with ‘Fire’ and ‘Mud’ to get ‘Brick’, and then build a House, Town, City, and finally, Metropolis as you stack these elements together.
With your Ocean, Monster, and Metropolis elements in tow, start setting up a diagram similar to the one we have above, unlocking a whole slew of interesting elements. ‘Apocalypse’ has got loads of potential, for example. Getting to the ‘Cthulhu’ elements is easy from that point on, as you obviously merely need to make an apocalyptic squid, and you’re done.
Unlocking ‘Cthulhu’ opens up a whole world of weird combinations and eldritch monstrosities in Infinite Craft, and it’s a load of fun to see how it all meshes together. Who knows, maybe you’ll even get to make a First Discovery all of your own.
