Few games are more relaxing yet complex than Little Alchemy 2. I really enjoy sitting back and throwing elements together to see what I end up with, as well as trying to put together incredibly specific recipes when I’m in the mood. While it takes a while to create, Clay is still one of the more basic elements in the game, used in the process of building some of the most advanced materials.
How to make Clay in Little Alchemy 2
To make Clay in Little Alchemy 2, you need to first add Water and Earth together to create Mud. For now, put the Mud aside because we need to make Pressure. I like to leave the elements I’ll need later at the top of the screen so they don’t get in the way.
To make Pressure, you must mix Air with Air. If that seems far too simple, you’re right in one sense. In the first Little Alchemy, it was much more difficult to craft Pressure, but that’s been changed for the sequel. Now you have Pressure; add one Earth to it to make Stone. Earth is a basic element you’ll have from the very beginning. Finally, you can combine Stone and Mud to create Clay.
Don’t worry if you accidentally clean up the screen while making all these elements. Once you’ve created a material such as Pressure, Mud, or Stone, it’ll stick around on the right-hand side of the screen in your available elements list. From there, you can just select the ones you need if the screen is getting too crowded and you want a blank slate to work with.
The only way to remove these elements is to open the game’s settings and reset all progress. Mercifully it’s a lot harder to delete all the effort you’ve put in, unlike some other free games you can play in your browser. While that’s great for keeping the game fresh every time you launch it, it’ll get in the way if you’re trying to make Clay or any element that requires multiple steps and combinations.
What is Clay used for in Little Alchemy 2?
Clay is used in some of the most complicated recipes in Little Alchemy 2. Bricks, Potter, Pottery, Soap, Golem, Life, and even Deity all require you to create Clay first. Even though it’ll appear on the right-hand side of the screen once crafted, I like to put it together from scratch if I’m trying to make something stranger and more challenging because it adds yet another layer to my time and an excuse to soak in every detail of the game.
