There are some extraordinary creations in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies, but Whimsical GobbleGums certainly top my list.
With the return of the Zombies mode to yet another COD title, GobbleGums have also made their return. If you have the Vault Edition of BO6, you’ll get 12 rare GobbleGums in your inventory for free but you can always earn more of them by grinding out the game. When it comes to Whimsical GobbleGums, however, the only sustainable way to get them appears to be successfully escaping from the clutches of those pesky zombies.
How to get Whimsical GobbleGums guide Call of Duty BO6
The Whimsical GobbleGums are very different from the other types you’ll find on the island. There are only two varieties of Whimsical GobbleGums that you can obtain – Indigestion and Newtonian Negation. Unfortunately, obtaining these items can be slightly tricky, at least at the time of writing.
The only reliable way to obtain this specific type of GobbleGum appears to be safely escaping from the zombie-infested lands with the help of your chopper using the Exfil mechanic. This was revealed by Treyarch ahead of the game’s global launch on October 25 and is the only way I have found them so far. You later in the game that you Exfil, the more Whimsicial GobbleGums you can earn. Below is the exact breakdown of how many Whimsical GobbleGums can be obtained based on which round you Exfil in.
- Exfil between Round 15-29 – 1 Whimsical GobbleGum
- Exfil between Round 30-44 – 2 Whimsical GobbleGums
- Exfil between Round 45+ – 3 Whimsical GobbleGums
What do Whimsical GobbleGums actually do?
Before you decide to Exfil just for the sake of a few Whimsical GobbleGums, be warned that they’re really not all that useful. Due to their in-game effects, the Whimsical variety of GobbleGums is more focused on humor than utility. Sadly, Hopefully, this system will change in the future, and we will be able to get better rewards like Rare or Legendary GobbleGums for a successful Exfil late in the game.
