You're going to have to leave eventually, but how do you return quick?

The new WoW 10.2 patch adds a brand new zone: the Emerald Dream. As per usual, this new zone is full of quests, progression, rare spawns, and more. But once you leave, it can seem like a hassle to get back. This is how to get to Emerald Dream fast in WoW 10.2 after you’ve already left the zone.

Fastest way to return to the Emerald Dream after unlocking it

Once you’ve completed the first WoW 10.2 storyline and entered the Emerald Dream, chances are you are going to leave the new zone at some point. Especially if you’re trying to maximize your Reputation Gains with the Dream Wardens and want to visit the Darkmoon Faire. Thankfully, there is a faster way to get back.

After you visit the Emerald Dream for the first time and complete the first chapter of the WoW 10.2 quests, you unlock a portal back to the Emerald Dream in Valdrakken. Head to Valdrakken either via your Hearthstone or the portal in your faction’s capital city.

Just to the south of the main area of Valdrakken where you portal in from a capital city, you will find a portal that will bring you to the Amirdrassi camp in the center of the Emerald Dream.

Thankfully, unlocking this portal once on any character will unlock it on all of your other characters on the same account.

Unlocking the Emerald Dream for the first time

When you first start playing the new season, you will have a quest popup that starts the Emerald Dream story chapters. Upon completing the first chapter you will head through a portal in western Ohn’ahran Plains called the Ancient Bough.

This portal will actually take you to the Emerald Dream zone in a quest called Emerald Welcome. Once there, you have both unlocked the portal at the Ancient Bough permanently, as well as the portal in Valdrakken mentioned above that lets you return there fast.
