No turtles in sight
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 are receiving their first major crossover event with a themed skin around one of the most popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters. The upcoming Warzone 2.0 and MW2 TMNT Shredder skin will give players the chance to play as the infamous villain.
Warzone 2.0 and MW2 TMNT Shredder skin, explained
Activision previously announced that Shredder would be arriving in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 and MW2 as part of the Season 2 Reloaded content. Shredder is the most famous villain of the TMNT crew, terrorizing them and New York City as the leader of the Foot Clan.
Shredder will now be taking his slicing and dicing to the Call of Duty franchise as one of the operator skins in both of the current mainline experiences. This marks the first significant crossover skin for both of these games since their launches.
Players will be able to pick up the Shredder skin on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, as part of the Season 2 Reloaded update. Unfortunately, none of the four classic turtles seem to be part of this crossover. Also, unlocking the skin will take some sacrifices on the playerās part; mainly in a monetary form.
How to get the TMNT Shredder skin
Though the Warzone 2.0 and MW2 TMNT Shredder skin debut is a monumental crossover event for both games, players wonāt be able to easily get the skin without spending some money. The Shredder skin will be part of a store bundle in Season 2 Reloaded.
This bundle will come with the Shredder operator skin, plus a load of other goodies. To get all of this, players will have to spend Call of Duty Points on the bundle. These points are a premium currency that require spending real world currency to acquire them.
The Shredder TMNT bundle focuses mainly on the new weapons this season, offering unique weapon blueprints for each of them, in addition to the skin. There are three new exclusive blueprint designs that players can acquire in this set.
There is a new SakiĀ weapon blueprint for ISO Hemlock, the latest assault rifle in CoD. Players can also get the Oroku blueprint for the KV Broadside shotgun. And perhaps the most impressive one has to be the themed weapon blueprint for the Dual Kodachis.
The melee weapon receives a Shredder-themed Steel Claws version that is a replica of the exact weapons he uses on both hands in the series. This bundle will likely only be around for a limited time so interested players should grab it as soon as Season 2 Reloaded drops.
