The Summit Rod is the second most expensive addition in Fisch‘s Northern Expedition update, and you can unlock this rod for C$300,000.
But you can’t buy the rod directly from the shop, and it’s located at the summit of the mountains. Naturally, you’ll have to travel a fair bit of distance to come across this rod in the first place. Doing so has double incentive, since you can also get the Cold Jacket from the same location, which is extremely useful to protect you from the cold.
How to unlock the Summit Rod in Fisch
As I mentioned earlier, the Summit Rod is situated right next to the Winter Cloak. If you’ve yet to find it, make sure to check out this guide (same pathway). First, reach the main campsite on the Northern Summit and take the main path that leads towards the inside of the island.
Take the next few ladders to climb the nearby cliffs, and you’ll reach a point with two tents. Take the path that goes straight from this point, and you’ll come across a few more cliffs. At one point, you’ll find that the main path is turning leftwards. Instead, take the right, surpass the narrow cliffside path, and you’ll reach Overgrowth Caves. Do note that you’ll need a Glider to reach this point.
If you take the ladder to your left, you’ll reach the campsite where the Pickaxe and Avalanche Rod are located. To reach the Summit rod, take the ladders to the right, and stick closely with the narrow path. At one point, you’ll come across two cliffs with a massive gap in between, so use your Glider. Continue straight, and then turn left to take the narrow passageway. Once you clear it, go leftwards instead of following the straight path, and you’ll come across another set of ladders.
Next, you’ll come across a natural bridge and take the right where it ends. From there, move straight by the cliffside path till you come across a new set of ladders that will allow you to climb up. What will follow is a few ladders that will help you climb up, and you’ll soon come across a path with a couple of crates to the side.
From there, head straight towards NE on your compass, and you’ll find a fresh cliffside path. You can use your Glider partially to cover the distance or walk and use all the ladders to climb up. This path will lead to a new campsite where the Summit Rod will be located.
