How to get the Stone Carver’s Scramseax in World of Warcraft

The latest World of Warcraft update adds a bunch of collectible cosmetic and other transmog items including the Stone Carver’s Scramseax, a dagger cosmetic. It’s easy to obtain, but if you don’t know how to do it, you won’t be able to interact with the object to actually loot it. Here is how to get the Stone Carver’s Scramseax cosmetic in World of Warcraft.

Where to find the Stone Carver’s Scramseax

You can find the Stone Carv’ers Scramseax in WoW in The Forgotten Vault on the Siren Isle. You will need to progress through the A Song of Secrets questline that brings you to the Siren Isle and unlocks your Citrine gear. Progress through The Radiant Vault quest and you will access The Forgotten Vault, which you will then be able to access at anytime.

Once inside, the Stone Carver’s Scramseax is technically located in the northwestmost chamber of the vault. If you’re standing at the entrance to the vault, you’ll take your first right to access the chamber that holds the Stone Carver’s Scramseax. However, you won’t be able to actually loot the cosmetic without first touching the nearby Radiant Citrine and obtaining the Glittering Vault Shard buff.

How to get the Stone Carver’s Scramseax

To get the Stone Caver’s Scramseax, first head to the southwest larger chamber of The Forgotten Vault and interact with/right-click the yellow Radiant Citrine lying on the ground on the west side of the chamber. Doing so will give you the Glittering Vault Shard buff that lasts for two minutes.

Now that you have the buff, quickly run back to the Stone Carver’s Scramseax and you will be able to interact with it and loot the cosmetic as long as you have the buff. While you can make use of movement speed-enhancing abilities to get to the Stone Carver’s Scramseax before your buff expires, don’t use any transforming or morphing abilities like Shaman’s Ghost Wolf or changing into a Druid form as this will remove the buff.

If you’ve obtained the Glittering Vault Shard toy that drops off Shardsong, you can also use it to get the required buff that will allow you to interact with the Stone Carver’s Scramseax.
