Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess offers some incredible gear for fans of a beloved past Capcom title. The development team has recognized Okami in the best way possible, with special in-game items anyone can earn if they know how.
You might wonder why Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has an Okami collaboration, and it’s because this latest title is, in many ways, a spiritual successor. As a result, Capcom has created two stunning costumes and weapons for players to unlock and use in the latest title, but the entire community must work together to unlock them first. Otherwise, these items won’t be available for anyone to use and will just be a distant What-If at launch.
How to get the Okami collaboration items in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
To get the Okami collaboration items in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, players must play the demo and complete the tasks set out by Capcom. Two tasks must be completed in the demo ahead of the game’s release. I’ve outlined these below.
- Collectively gather 1 billion crystals by fighting Seethe and purging the defilement.
- Collectively find 15 Lucky Mallets hidden within the demo version of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
The second task of collecting all the Lucky Mallets has been completed at the time of writing. This means that an exclusive outfit and song have both been unlocked in the final version of the game. These will be added in a day one patch, according to Capcom.
Players are roughly halfway through the first task of collecting 1 billion crystals. However, considering the game will be released on July 19, 2024, it’s extremely likely that this goal will be hit in time, and all players will get the second exclusive outfit and weapon for their save file.
If you want to ensure that you get every available Okami-crossover item possible, then you should download the demo and play it now to help complete the task of collecting 1 billion crystals. The more players there are in the demo, the faster the goal will be completed.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess isn’t currently available, so I’m unable to verify exactly how you get these items in-game. However, Capcom will release details of how this will work closer to release. These items will almost certainly be gated by progress at a store or specific chapter point to avoid players being overwhelmed and overpowered. I’ll update this article as soon as information on how to get the gear has been released.
