How to get the Mysterious Stone in Remnant 2

In order to obtain the Mysterious Stone, you must first unlock the world Losomn. Once here, you will want to scout out the area called Ironsborough. This is essentially a ramshackle village around a castle, similar to something you’d see in Bloodborne orĀ Dark Souls. In Ironsborough, look for water feeding into a sewer covered with iron bars. It should look as though there is just enough room for you to fit between the bars.

Stand in front of the bars and wait. After a few seconds, a beast should grab you and drag you towards it. Once this happens do not move, as doing so will break free of the beast. In this case, you want to be taken. Your character will wake up near a pile of bones, with the Manticora beast that dragged you in ready to fight.

The fight itself is pretty simple. The Manticora technically isn’t even a boss enemy, so you should have no problem dealing with it. However, its melee attacks can pack a hefty punch, so be sure to dodge out of the way. Once you’ve taken down the Manticora you will be rewarded with the Mysterious Stone!

What is the Mysterious Stone for inĀ Remnant 2?

Once you have the Mysterious Stone you will want to head back to Ward 13. Afterwards, head over to the crane and climb up to the NPC Wallace, a special vendor. Wallace will allow you to combine your Mysterious Stone with 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 Scrap to craft the Philosopher’s Stone. You should have enough materials, but if not you can farm the Lumenite Crystals off of Abberations and Elite enemies throughout Losomn. Scrap typically drops off of most enemies in Remnant 2 and can also be found in the various chests scattered throughout the worlds.

The Philosopher’s Stone is an Engram, which can be used to unlock new archetypes. This Engram in particular unlocks the Alchemist archetype. With the Philosopher’s Stone in hand, you can now visit the archetype screen in the menu and switch to the Alchemist archetype!
