How to get the Malignant Force mod in Warframe

Who needs raw damage when the enemy has every disease known to man?

While other mods can certainly do the trick in Warframe, getting the best mods designed for a particular task can take a build from great to legendary. Going from regular mods to their Primed variant might not seem like much on paper, but it is a massive change in practice.

One of the best mods for your weapon is a great mix of Status Chance and Status Damage but it can be tough to get to drop. Here’s how to get the Malignant Force mod in Warframe.

The Malignant Force mod can be acquired as a possible drop from Corrupted Vor, who is found in Orokin Void missions ranked between levels 40-60. If you’re looking to farm him for the mod, your best bet is to run the Survival mission Mot in the Void, which is rated for levels 40-45. You’ll know Corrupted Vor has spawned when he does a monologue, noted through his appearance over the comms and on the left side of your screen. Once he finishes monologuing, he will spawn near you or your teammates and will be easy to kill. He has a 25% chance to drop Malignant Force when taken down. Just keep at it and eventually, he should drop the mod.

Alongside Malignant Force, Corrupted Vor has the chance to drop the Pistol Pestilence, Virulent Scourge, and Toxic Barrage mods. These mods function identically to the Malignant Force mod but are for Pistols, Melee Weapons, and Shotguns respectively. They’re still plenty worth getting.

Is the Malignant Force mod worth using?

The Malignant Force mod increases the Toxin status and Status Chance of any Rifle by 60%. These stats are additive with other mods, so two Mods that increase Toxin status by 60% would give 120% Toxin status, rather than each giving 60% increase to the current value. This mod is used in numerous builds for weapons like the Acceltra where their goal is to overwhelm the enemy with debuffs, and thus is incredibly useful. You should level this and keep it around for any Status-based weapons you own.
