How to get the Lynel echo in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

At least it's not as hard as the Golden Lynel in Breath of the Wild.

Monsters are some of the best echoes youā€™re able to learn while journeying across Hyrule in Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Theyā€™re the best way of fighting off enemies, and as soon as you take one down, they will be available for your arsenal.

Lynels are the most fearsome of monsters found in Hyrule, and while itā€™s no small task to find and beat, itā€™s well worth the trouble. If you need help adding the Lynel to your array of echoes, weā€™re here to help.

Lynel location in Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The only Lynel in the game is found in the Eternal Forest, in the clearing in the northeast corner. If you have the waypoint in the forest activated, you can head south and then east from there. Itā€™s very close.

Youā€™ll be warned about the Lynel at the Northern Sanctuary, where an NPC tells you not to follow the footprints in the forest because a fearsome beast leaves them. This is the Lynelā€™s footprints.

When you find the footprints in the forest, you can simply follow the direction theyā€™re leading, and they will take you directly to the clearing where the Lynel is waiting. As mentioned above, this is the only Lynel in all Hyrule, so if you want this echo, this is the only place you can get it.

How to beat the Lynel in Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Taking down this Lynel is going to be the most difficult echo to obtain since itā€™s the strongest non-boss monster. Youā€™ll need to rely mainly on your swordfighter form for this fight since any echoes you send out will only survive a hit or two from the Lynel.

I recommend stocking up on plenty of defense-boosting smoothies and smoothies that can replenish your energy. This way, you wonā€™t need to worry about running out of your swordfighter form in the middle of the battle. You can also put on accessories like the Ancient Charm.

However, at this point in this game, youā€™ve likely accumulated plenty of strength. Make sure you have all your hearts filled and good smoothies packed, and youā€™ll prevail. If you do use echoes during the fight, I recommend anything that can fly since it will be harder for the Lynel to hit, so they may get in a hit before dying. Any of the available Wizzrobes work for this. You can also use Darknuts to get some strong hits in.

After youā€™ve successfully taken down the Lynel, all thatā€™s left is to learn the echo. Youā€™ll now have an incredibly powerful monster on your side whenever you go to battle, as the Lynel can take down nearly all other monsters with ease.
